OFF THE BLOG
This week was pretty uneventful. I’ve just been hanging out around the house with the boys and spending time with them. I’ve been trying to get as much time in with them as possible before I start classes tomorrow.
Tuesday night while I was at work I got a huge surprise. Two of the kids that we usually have on Tuesday nights are finally back from their summer trip to Germany. They’ve been gone for 3 months and I’ve missed them SO much. I was super excited to see them coming in. They have grown so much.
On Thursday I went up to the college for new student orientation. We broke up into different groups and went to 4 different lectures. There was one on how to be a successful student, one for all of the online and technological aspects of school, one for counseling and disability type services, and then one that was just a mixture of everything else that didn’t fit into any other category. While I was there I also got my library card, student ID, and parking pass. Whew. It’s hard to believe I’m actually doing this sometimes. I’ve been out of high school for 14 years. Better late than never though, right? 🙂 Tomorrow is my first day and I’m ready for the most part. I have all of my supplies and everything has checked out with my schedule and things like that. I just need to get past the nerves and anxiety.
I can so see this being me in the very near future. I’ll be a full time student + mom + working 4 days a week. Yikes! There just aren’t enough hours in the day. 😉
