OFF THE BLOG
This was a pretty busy week so that’s why my wrap-up is going up a day late.
Today is my son Chris’ 12th birthday. I can’t believe I have a pre-teen now. The years have gone by way too fast. Since his birthday fell on a school day, we spent this weekend celebrating.
On Saturday, we took him to the Tour of Destruction at the speedway. That was so much fun! We had never been to anything like that before so we weren’t really sure what to expect, but the money we spent was worth it! We are looking forward to going again when they come back next year. There was semi-truck racing, a school bus race, a car-boat race, a demolition derby, a monster truck, a gauntlet race, and all kinds of other things.
On Sunday, we went to see Spiderman: Homecoming which was amazing! I didn’t think that I would like it because frankly I’m getting tired of them rebooting this series, but we all ended up loving the movie. I’m glad we went to see it. Then we took him out to dinner at one of his favorite restaurants.
Hey, what’s a birthday without a cake, right?! 😉
When we got home Sunday night, I spent some time getting last minute things together for school. I have two major, huge projects due this week. Hopefully I do well on them. *fingers crossed*
This describes my husband perfectly. I’ve lost track of the number of times he has ran out of gas lately. LOL
