The arrangement is simple, with only two rules:
One: Don’t fall in love
Two: Revert back to rule one when necessary
Fallon’s been my best friend my entire life. No matter how much I’m attracted to her though, I know she deserves better than a man who refuses to commit. I saw what happened to my dad when he lost my mom and there’s no way I’m putting myself in that position.
At least, not until my father gives me an ultimatum:
Have a baby…or he’s selling the business my great-grandfather started over fifty years ago to a stranger.
This company is mine. I’m not about to let someone else take over.
Too much alcohol has Fallon volunteering to help and our agreement is born.
There’s just one problem:
Everything changes the moment I slip inside her body.
There’s no denying what either of us want anymore.
2.5 out of 5 stars
|I love stories with babies in them and friends to lovers is my favorite trope, but unfortunately I just didn’t love this book as much as I was anticipating.
My main problem was with Reed. He was a little too alpha for me. I’m just not a fan of the alpha male. Some of the things that came out of his mouth had me like, ….really?? Reed was also really confusing. His constant back and forth gave me a headache and drove me crazy. Fallon fell a little flat for me, but she was definitely a more enjoyable character than Reed. My favorite character was Ryker. He was hilarious and I love how much he irritated and messed with Reed. I know this wasn’t Ryker’s story but I hope he ends up with his own HEA because he is super sweet and needs a good woman!
Overall, I felt there was too much drama and back-and-forth before getting to the end result. I would like to have seen more of their relationship together, seeing how they dealt throughout the pregnancy, and things like that.
